Pepsi owns Coke in Super Bowl Commercials

Last night America watched the Green Bay Packers defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the biggest stage in football.

The Super Bowl is always the most watched program on television every year, which is why the commercials are so expensive. Spending the millions of dollars these companies spend on a one minute commercial, America expects perfection, humor, and well, we just want to laugh during the breaks in the game.

I personally had mixed feelings with the commercials this year. One thing is for sure though, Pepsi dominated the commercials over soda rival Coca Cola.

Coke's best commercial was the border patrol commercial (it at least had the most potential) but they could have done so much more with it to make it more lovable.

Pepsi, on the other hand, really put there time purchased to good use, especially with the Love Hurts commercial. Very well thought out and written. Coke dominated with the bears and Santa Claus during the holidays the past few years, but this night belonged to Pepsi.

Doritos also had some of the funnier commercials of the night with "The Healing Chips". They also owned the commercial that received the most "ewww's" in my household with the male on male finger licking shot. So Doritos gets some mixed reviews on the night from myself.

Some of the companies that need to try harder next year (or not risk the embarrassment again) is Skechers, McDonalds (you're a big enough company to come up with a "new" commercial for the Super Bowl), GoDaddy.com, and I'm sad to say E-Trade baby's. I've always been a huge fan of the E-Trade baby and their commercials, but they really disappointed during the Super Bowl.

Bud Light had some good commercials, but the winner of best commercials for the Super Bowl is Bridgestone. They had two commercials that were hilarious! The "Reply All" was the funniest commercial of the Super Bowl, closely followed by the "Karma" commercial. Well done Bridgestone Tire.
